Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

Agadir - Zagora Camel ride and night in a Desert camp

Explore the Sahara on a tour from Agadir with Local Morocco Tours, your personal desert tour company. We leave Agadir at 7:30 a.m., travelling to the plain of Souss, then to the tiny towns of the Anti Atlas: Taliouine, Taznakht, and Agdz in the huge Oasis, with lunch on the way. We proceed along the Draa Valley, Morocco's largest palm grove, to Zagora, a little desert village noted for its signboard "52 days to Timbuktu" on camel back. From there, travel the road south to Tamegroute, where we visit the pottery factory and the artisan exhibition, as well as the underground Kasbah and the Koranic library, before returning by camel to the sand dunes bivouacs and admiring the spectacular sunset. Dinner and a night in the tent.

Day 2

Zagora Camel Ride - Draa Valley - Marrakech - Agadir

Today we will witness the desert sunrise, then return to Zagora (you will also ride camels), and after breakfast we will drive to Ouarzazate and the Atlas Mountains. Local Morocco Tours will take you to the Sahara desert. We visit Ait Benhaddou Kasabh, a Unesco World Heritage Site. We crossed the Tichka road pass after exploring the place with a local guide. We go to Marrakech, tour the medina, and then transfer you to Agadir, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation. At Local Morocco Tours, we will do all in our power to tailor a vacation to Morocco that is perfect for you, your family, your friends, or your group.
