We provide a two-day excursion from Marrakech to experience the best of Essaouira, including a visit to ancient Mogador, a historic fort and fishing harbor three hours away. We'll see the stunning medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoy the Atlantic coast town of Essaouira, and explore its port, ramparts and historical landmarks.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

Marrakech → Essaouira

Local Morocco Tours is your own private tour company for day tours departing from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We will provide you with transportation from Marrakech to Essaouira, where you will have the opportunity to see the ancient city of Mogador, an excellent choice for a day excursion along the Atlantic coast. After being picked up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, we make our way to Essaouira in order to visit an Argan oil cooperative. Once we have arrived in the city, our first stop is the Medina, followed by the city port. Spend the afternoon at your own pace, then overnight at a hotel or riad in the neighborhood.

Day 2

Essaouira → Marrakech

You will spend the day in Essaouira relaxing on the beach and taking in the city's main historical attractions, including the medina. We make our way along Siaghine Alley to the ramparts and then to Moulay El-Hassan Square. After you have finished exploring the most significant places, we will bring you back to Marrakech. At Local Morocco Tours, we will do all in our power to tailor a vacation to Morocco that is perfect for you, your family, your friends, or your group.
