Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

Marrakech Tizi n'Tichka Ait Benhaddou Ouarzazate Dades Gorges

Explore the Sahara on a Tour From Marrakech with Local Morocco Tours: your own desert tour business. We will collect you up at your lodging and drive you across the Tizi n'Tichka Atlas mountains pass to visit the most scenic Berber towns. After that, we will take you to the Ait Benhaddou kasbah with a local guide. Local Morocco Tours from Marrakech will take you to this UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of your trip across the desert in Morocco. The journey will begin in Marrakech. Following our excursion to the movie studios in Skoura and Ouarzazate, we will return home. After that, we will go to the Valley of Roses, followed by the Dades Valley, where you will spend the night in a kasbah and be fed dinner.

Day 2

Dades Valley Todra Gorges Jorf Erfoud Merzouga

Following breakfast, we will go on a tour of the Dades Gorges, which will include the stunning rock formation that is commonly referred to as "the monkey toes." We make our way to Tinrghir, where you will get the opportunity to explore the Todra Valley, which is wellknown for the granite kanyons found there. As we make our way to Tinijdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, we pass through a number of different Berber settlements. When we get at Merzouga, the Saharan dunes are going to blow your mind. Spend one night at a hotel in the desert, inclusive of breakfast and supper.

Day 3

Merzouga Desert Excursion and Camel Ride

The first day of our fiveday journey from Marrakech to the Sahara begins today with a tour across the dunes of the Sahara provided by Local Morocco Tours. We spend time with a family of nomads in the desert, listen to Gnawa music in Khamlia, and explore the Nomad Museum in Hassi Labied. After lunch, we will continue our Morocco tour from Marrakech with a visit to the Sahara desert. This tour is provided by Local Morocco Tours. In the late afternoon, you will have a camel ride that will take around an hour and a half to go to the desert tent where we will watch the sunset. Following supper, you will listen to music played by the Berbers and then sleep in tents while in the Sahara desert.

Day 4

Merzouga Camel Ride In Desert Agdz Night In Ouarzazate

Today, we will get up bright and early to see the sunrise, and after breakfast, you will ride the camel back to the hamlet, while we will travel to Rissani to explore the local souk there. The next stop on our excursion will be the Alnif Trilobite Center, after which we will go to N'Qob and then, after passing through the Draa Valley, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, where you will have supper and spend the night in a quaint kasbah or hotel.

Day 5

Ouarzazate Atlas Mountains End Tour in Marrakech

The next stop on our fiveday journey from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert is the Taourirt Kasbah, which is followed by a tour of the High Atlas Mountains and the Berber towns that are located there, including Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. Tour provided by Local Morocco Tours' Tour Over the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, we will make our way back to Marrakech, where our journey will come to an end.
